Only 5 minutes away!! As one of the modern jewels of downtown Winnipeg, MTS Centre stands as a testament to the perseverance and vision of a handful of men and women who wanted to bring Winnipeg to the forefront of the sports and entertainment industry. That handful of people began in 1996 with a concept in their heads and a drive in their hearts, which developed that concept into the dynamic and successful True North Sports & Entertainment Limited (True North). As a group of limited partnerships established in 1999, True North now employs more than 175 full-time staff and operates two state of the art facilities, MTS Centre and MTS Iceplex.
The 177,000 square foot MTS Iceplex boasts four regulation sized rinks (with spectator seating), Goalie training centre (45’ x 37’), 20 player dressing rooms, 4 officials’ dressing rooms, pro shop, food and beverage services, concessions, restaurant/lounge, meeting rooms and office space.

At The Original Pancake House we're proud to be involved with a large number of local non-profit and charitable events every year. December 2012 events included the annual Holiday Breakfast at Kelvin High School where students were flipping pancakes for their "buddies" from Machray Elementary. The last week of December saw us sponsoring two breakfasts for hockey players aged 5-12 at the Winnipeg Jets Challenge Cup held at the MTS Iceplex. Check out our "Pancake Tuesday" event with our friends from the Movement Centre of Manitoba.
No matter the size of the gathering,
you'll find it at every table.

It's peppered into conversations between
friends and soon to be friends.
You'll find it in everything we do -
from the things that touch your lips to the
things that surround you.
It's called Soul.
